Breakfast at A La Ville De Provins Bistro
A freshly baked croissant & crispy baguette – lovely!
Croque Madame – Toast with Ham & Cheese topped with a sunny sider.
Breakfast at A La Ville De Provins Bistro
Lunch stop along Rue de la Huchette at the Latin Quarter, Rive Gauche.
Meteora, a Greek Restaurant serving a mouth-watering assortment of kebabs.
An appetizer the French enjoy – Escargot cooked in Garlic Butter & Parsley but for some they are snails that belongs in the garden. Le Symposium Restaurant along Rue de la Huchette.
French Onion Soup – the poor soup was drowned in bread.
Delicious Fresh Mussels in White Wine with Cheese Sauce topping… one of the best I have tasted so far.
A good Sirloin Steak with Béarnaise Sauce, French Fries & Garden salad.
Lamb Chops with Fries & Garden salad.
Pork Cutlets au Poivre with French Fries & Garden salad – I fancy the Singapore Hainanese Pork Chop is much tastier, juicier & tenderer.
Baked Golden Apple with Caramel sauce – lovely!
Crème Brulee which was sadly overdone & average.
Le Symposium Restaurant at the Latin Quarter where we enjoyed a quiet late lunch – every little restaurant has its own unique décor & a cozy ambience, very welcoming.
Café Noir at Montmartre – keeping warm on a cold & raining day.
Ham & Egg Omelette – pretty ordinary but still delicious when one is hungry.
Spaghetti Bolognaise – a good serving of palatable but not great stuff.
A generous portion of Chef’s Salad – lovely Haricot beans & fresh greens, totally enjoyable.
At the artist quarter of Montmartre which is a lively place full of tourists who come to wine & dine, enjoy people-watching & the festive ambience & maybe pick up a lovely painting at a bargain!
At Montmartre with Sacred Coeur in the background.
At the Village of St. Paul in the 4th arrondisement which is a great place to chill out & visit the many curio & antique shops.
Mid morning coffee break at La Petite Maison dans la tour, a charming little cafe where we were served by a tall, dark & handsome young man 🙂
Cafe Noisette – my morning treat.
The waiting time at Pitzman is usually between 20-30 mins without reservations but the food is reasonably priced & delicious, so it is worth the wait.
This popular Jewish restaurant along Rue Pavee at the Marais, serves a wonderful Falafel Platter & Kosher food.
What a feast for the eyes & palate!
I always thought it was the Chinese who consumed almost every part of the poor hog but was pleasantly surprised to see that the French also use the pig’s omentum in their cuisine.
Luxury Berthillion Glace – a fragrant & creamy vanilla ice cream juxtaposed with an intensively tart & refreshing raspberry sorbet; a dessert that would compliment any meal beautifully. Enjoyed at Le Saint Severin Restaurant at 5 Rue Saint Severin closest to Metro station Saint Michel.
Tartare de Boeuf – a blend of raw beef with capers & crunchy onions & seasoning… a first for me & a true gastronomic delight!
